1965-1970 Mustang T5 Conversion -T5 Bellhousing - Clutch Cable

Another popular T5 conversion method is to use the bell housing from a late model (1980-1993) Mustang T5 5-speed transmission.

Original 4-speed bell housings from 1965-1970 are rather hard to locate!

This kit is designed to use a custom designed clutch cable system for smoother operation. You will not use original style clutch linkage (Z-bar, brackets & springs) for this installation.

When using the late model T5 bell housing, the following late model Mustang components must also be used:

10.5" Diameter clutch
You can use our stock replacement clutch by LUK or install the heavy duty Ford Racing "King Cobra" clutch kit.

Flywheel.
We offer a 28oz flywheel that is predrilled and includes dowel pins for use in early 289/302 motor with a late model 10.5" clutch.

Bell housing
We offer a brand new 5.0 bell housing.
